When this route can be ridden

20 May – 30 September. Trollstigen and Dalsnibba normally open around mid to late May, and Sognefjellet is usually clear from late April. Earlier in the spring the two best mountain days of this trip would simply be missing.

Those are the dates we go on. A road can open a week late after a hard winter, or a lodge can take its own decision – we confirm the whole chain with our partners before we confirm your trip. Outside this window the trip builder will not let you pick a start date for this route; our other routes run longer.

Included

You book your own nights

Accommodation is not included and cannot be booked through us. We suggest the route and the daily stages; where you sleep along the way is yours to arrange – hotel, guesthouse, cabin, campsite or your own tent. We are not an accommodation agent and we take no bookings, no payments and no responsibility for the places you choose.

Our tip: in high summer the well-known places fill up weeks ahead, so book your beds as soon as your dates are fixed. In May and September there is far more space along the route, and it is usually cheaper too.

Fly in. Ride the best of Norway.
